Ha! Ha! Halloween Costume Contest 2011
There are two major categories open for participants. Participants may join only one category.
a) INDIVIDUAL - All boys and girls ages 4 to 12 years old may be eligible to join.
b) GROUP/FAMILY – composed of the following:
- boy or girl ages 4 to 12 years old
- two (2) immediate family members
1. The contest will be on October 31, 2011, Monday at 2:00 PM.
2. Interested participants may get their application form and pre-register starting Oct. 15, 2011 at the mall administration office c/o mall Marketing. There will also be an on-site registration which starts at 10am until 12noon on Oct. 31, 2011.
3. Interested participants must present a combination of the following purchases upon registration:
A) A minimum single receipt purchase of P250 from any of the mall establishments and one (1) SM Eco bag
B) Minimum P250 purchase required from ANY of the following establishments (SM Department Store or Toy Kingdom
- SM DEPARTMENT STORE – a minimum P250 single receipt purchase of Halloween costume from SM Kids Fashion section.
- TOY KINGDOM – a minimum P250 single receipt purchase of Halloween costume.
(Application forms will still need to be claimed at the Mall Administration Office through the Marketing Department)
4. Participants will be given stubs after they register. This stub will be presented during the grand costume party in order to confirm their attendance and validate their participation in the contest. Names must be reconciled with mall’s master list of participants. In case the stub is lost, a valid ID must be presented. Confirmation of attendance is from 1pm to 1:30pm on October 31, 2011.
5. Kids and their immediate families must dress up as magical creatures, Halloween characters or fairytale icons. There should be no displaying of grotesque, lewd/obscene costumes/make-up or special prosthetics.
Contest categories:
a) INDIVIDUAL
- Cutest Character
- Most SPOOK-tacular Costume
- Fa-BOO-lous Outfit
b) GROUP
- Halloween family
6. Participants in all categories will be judged according to the following criteria:
Adherence to the Halloween theme 30%
Creativity 30%
Visual Impact 20%
Projection 20%
TOTAL 100%
7. Prizes which are up for grabs:
Cutest Character: P5,000.00 worth of SM gift certificates
Most SPOOK-tacular Costume: P5,000.00 worth of SM gift certificates
Fa-BOO-lous Character/Outfit: P5,000.00 worth of SM gift certificates
Family all in costume: P5,000 worth of SM gift certificates
(Combined gift certificates may be from SM Supermalls and SM Department Store)
8. The participants shall be gathered at the Event Center (where the parade will start) on October 31, 2011 at 2:00PM.
9. The parade route around the mall will be determined by the Mall Marketing. This will end at the Event Center where the presentation and awarding will be held. After the parade, the participants will be asked to go up the stage for presentation to the judges.
10. The announcement of winners and awarding of prizes will take place after the costume party. Claim certificates will be given to the winners upon declaration. In case the winners are not at the venue, they will be notified by telephone, registered mail and email.
11. Prizes can be claimed at the Mall Administration Office of the corresponding participating mall within sixty (60) days from receipt of registered mail or of awarding upon presentation of claim certificates and valid ID of the parent/guardian. Prizes are not convertible to cash.
12. All SM Supermalls employees, its affiliates, anchors, organizers and advertising agencies up to the second level of affinity and consanguinity are not qualified to join this competition.
