UN Parade of Nations Contest 2011
1. Open to the following:
a) Students from Pre-school to High School with valid school IDs
b) School teachers with valid school IDs
2. The contest will be on October 24, 2011, Monday at 2:00 PM.
3. Interested participants may get their application form and pre-register starting Oct. 19, 2011 at the Mall Administration Office c/o Mall Marketing. There will also be an on-site registration which starts at 10am until 12noon on Oct. 24, 2011.
4. Upon registration, the participant must present a minimum single receipt purchase of P250 from any of the mall establishments and a minimum single receipt purchase of P250 from SM Department Store’s SM Kids Fashion section.
5. Participants will be given stubs after they register. This stub will be presented during the grand costume party in order to confirm their attendance and validate their participation in the contest. Names must be reconciled with mall’s master list of participants. In case the stub is lost, a valid ID must be presented. Confirmation of attendance is from 1pm to 1:30pm on Oct. 24, 2011.
6. Contest categories:
- Boy student
- Girl student
- Male teacher
- Female teacher
7. The students and teachers must wear costumes representing the different countries.
8. Participants will be judged according to the following criteria:
Creativity 40%
Visual Impact 40%
Audience Impact 20%
TOTAL 100%
9. Prizes which are up for grabs:
Best in Costume (1 boy student and 1 girl student):
P5,000.00 worth of SM gift certificates
Best in Costume (1 male teacher and 1 female teacher):
P3,000.00 worth of SM gift certificates
BONUS Prize: School with the most number of participants, mix of students and teachers (1 school):
P10,000.00 worth of SM gift certificates
(Combined gift certificates may be from SM Supermalls and SM Department Store)
10. The participants shall be gathered at the mall’s Event Center area (where the parade will start) at 2:00 PM on October 24, 2011.
11. The parade route around the mall will be determined by the Mall Marketing. This will end at the Event Center where the presentation and awarding will be held. After the parade, the participants will be asked to go up the stage for presentation to the judges.
12. The announcement of INDIVIDUAL winners and awarding of prizes will take place after the costume party. Claim certificates will be given to the winners upon declaration. Winners who are not at the venue will be notified via telephone and email.
13. Prizes for winning INDIVIDUALS can be claimed at the Mall Administration Office of the corresponding participating mall within sixty (60) days from receipt of registered mail or of awarding upon presentation of claim certificates and valid ID of the parent/guardian. Prizes are not convertible to cash.
14. The school winning the BONUS prize will be notified via telephone and/or registered mail. Prize can be claimed at the Mall Administration within sixty (60) days by a school administration employee upon presentation of letter of authorization from the school principal. Authorization must be printed in official school letterhead. SM Supermalls reserves the right to validate authorization letter as necessary. Prize is not convertible to cash.
15. All SM Supermalls employees, its affiliates, anchors, organizers and advertising agencies up to the second level of affinity and consanguinity are not qualified to join this competition.
