Promo period is from April 25, 2011 up to March 25, 2012.
1. Pocari Sweat promodisers will go to their sponsored fun runs and other outdoor activity events and
approach select 100 random participants (mix of females and males) per event to pose for a digicam shot
with their best smile.
Please see attached list. The fun runs are determined one month before.
2. Participants will be asked to sign a waiver stating that they are
agreeing to join the promo and for Pocari Sweat to upload their photos on the Pocari Sweat Facebook
Fan Page. Additional information will be asked for confirmation purposes:
a. Name
b. Address
c. Age
d. Birth date
e. School/ Company
f. Valid e-mail address
g. Contact Number
3. Accessing the Fan Page and Becoming a Fan
a. All participants should have a valid and existing account in Facebook, where they need to access
the Pocari Sweat Fan Page via:
i. Typing in: www.facebook.com/pocarisweatphilippines on the URL or Pocari Sweat Smiley Photo
Contest on the search bar, to visit the fan page
ii. Once there, users should click the "LIKE" button to access the Pocari Sweat Smiley Photo Contest

4. Participants should "tag" their own photos and share it on their Facebook Profile Wall. For
verification purposes, a designated person from Otsuka Pharmaceuticals will check the label of the
photos, and a representative from Otsuka Pharmaceutical will contact the participant
5. Fans can vote for their favorite smile pictures by "liking" the pictures and posting comments.
Voting/"Like" button will start once the photo album is posted. Albums will be uploaded every
Monday of the week. Cut-off for posting "like votes" will be at 12:00 pm on the 7 day from the
posting of the album. A screenshot will be captured for each photo at 12:00pm to capture the
number of "like". Note that the Smiley Photo Contest Winner will not solely be chosen based on
the number of "likes".
6. Criteria for Judging:
Best Smile 50% (Natural and bright smile, over-all facial expression)
Over-all Impact 30% (Confidence, Freshness)
Facebook Likes 20% (Number of Facebook Fan Likes)
7. There will be a weekly winner for a period of 48 weeks. The participant with the highest score, based
on the criteria will be chosen Smiley of the Week and will instantly win Pocari Sweat items worth
Php1,500 (3 cases of Pocari Sweat 350mL; 72 bottles x P22 = P1584.00)
8. Out of the four (4) weekly winners, one will be chosen as Smiley of the Month
The monthly winner
will be chosen based on the following criteria:
Best Smile 50% (Natural and bright smile, over-all facial expression)
Over-all Impact 30% (Confidence, Freshness)
Facebook Likes 20% (Number of Facebook Fan Likes)
The Smiley of the Month will win Pocari Sweat items worth Php3,000 (6 cases of Pocari Sweat 350mL;
144 bottles x P22 = P3168.00)
9. Every quarter, one (1) out of the three (3) Smileys of the Month will be chosen Smiley of the Quarter
The quarterly winner will be chosen based on the following criteria:
Best Smile 50% (Natural and bright smile, over-all facial expression)
Over-all Impact 30% (Confidence, Freshness)
Facebook Likes 20% (Number of Facebook Fan Likes)
The Smiley of the Quarter will receive an iPad2 and a Pocari Sweat Gift Pack worth Php5,000 (10 cases of Pocari Sweat 350mL; 240 bottles x P22 =
P5280.00)
10. From among the four (4) Smileys of the Quarter, one will be chosen the Pocari Sweat Smiley of the
Year.
The grand winner will be chosen based on the following criteria:
Best Smile 50% (Natural and bright smile, over-all facial expression)
Over-all Impact 30% (Confidence, Freshness)
Facebook Likes 20% (Number of Facebook Fan Likes)
Winner will receive a 13" Macbook and a Pocari Sweat Gift Pack
worth Php5,000 (10 cases of Pocari Sweat 350mL; 240 bottles x P22 = P5280.00)
Winners will be advised through email and an Otsuka Pharmaceutical representative will call the winner.
Prizes can be claimed from 9am – 5pm, Mondays- Fridays at Otsuka Pharmaceutical Office, 3 Floor
King’s Court Building, Pasong Tamo St. Makati City.
Winner should present a valid ID (SSS, Driver’s
License, Passport). The name on the ID should match the name on the waiver.
