PAYLESS SHOESOURCE LAUNCHES THE GOOD SHOE PROJECT
Realizing the need to provide decent footwear for marginalized Filipino children in the remote areas, Payless ShoeSource is bringing its global CSR program, The Good Shoe Project, to the Philippines. The Good Shoe Project is Payless ShoeSource’s way of giving back to the community while engaging its customers to be change agents.
Payless ShoeSource has chosen Children’s Hour Philippines, Inc., a fundraising, fund-giving and friends-raising organization that supports projects on children’s welfare. For every Airwalk “Hope Shoe” sold, Payless ShoeSource will donate Ph 100 to Children’s Hour. Funds raised will be used to purchase footwear for Children’s Hour beneficiaries in rural communities nationwide. Last August 17, 2011, a Memorandum of Agreement was signed by Payless ShoeSource and Children’s Hour to cement their partnership.
The Airwalk “Hope Shoe” will be available in Payless ShoeSource this September 2011. The Good Shoe Project will run from September 15 to October 5, 2011.
