Promo Mechanics
a. This promo is open to Philippine residents only. To join, participants must register at www.risingstars.ph. Registration is easy. Just click on the registration tab at the uppermost right part of the page and fill-up the registration requirements like complete name, home address, mobile number, username, e-mail address and other personal identification details. Registered users need not to register again.
The official competition song will be the new SM Christmas Jingle entitled The Christmas ChriSMs Bop sung by Maria Aragon.
1.1 The registered participant must log-in at www.risingstars.ph or login using his/her facebook account.
1.2 After logging-in, click on the promo banner to be redirected to the landing page where he/she can record the song.
1.3 Start recording the “The Christmas ChriSMs Bop” song. Performances can be recorded with or without a video.
1.4 Make sure that the song has been completely sang for it to qualify to the singing competition. Edit, finalize and save the performance.
1.5 A participant may record as many SM Chrisms jingle as he/she want then can be save at the "My Performances" page.
1.6 A participant will choose the best SM Chrisms performance/s they have and submit/publish it in the contest by simply clicking the "Publish" button to qualify as an entry.
It is allowed to change the contest entry noted that it is within the contest’s cut-off date and time. A participant may submit as many entries as they wish but only the three latest submission will qualify as their entry to the final judging.
1.6 The song lyrics must be strictly followed on a performance. Modification of the lyrics will result to a disqualification. However, a performer can create a different flavour/rendition of the song in terms of melody.
From the pool of contestants, the top 3 winners will be selected based on the quality of performance by a panel of judges selected by SM. Last day to submit an entry for the competition is on January 07, 2012.
c. Judging of Winners and Prizes
The competition will be judged by three judges:
1. SM representative: Dave S. Pimentel (Senior Marketing Manager for Digital-SM Supermalls / musician)
2. Megamobile representative: Anjo Mendoza (COO –Megamobile Inc.)
3. Risingstars.ph representative: Bon Ryan Sundiang (Business Development Officer / musician)
The criteria for judging are:
1. Voice Quality: (40%)
Clarity of words/lyrics and being able to hit the right notes/pitch of a chosen song.
2. Originality & creativity: (35%)
Being able to create a different flavour/rendition of the song in terms of melody.
3. Timing & Rhythm: (25%)
Being able to deliver good lyrical phrasing.
Date, time and venue for judging/determination of winners: January 10, 2012, 2:00PM, Megamobile Office (3rd Floor Media Resource Plaza Mola cor. Pasong Tirad Sts. Brgy. La Paz, Makati City)
Total number of winners: 3
d. Winner Verification
Prizes will be awarded only upon completion of entire verification process, resulting in the participants being identified as legitimate winners. Verified winners must present the following when claiming the prize:
· Two valid IDs
· Notice sent via registered mail
· SM official receipt worth P500.
